Mark is the Senior Partner at Warners and is a key member of the Commercial Property team. Mark trained at Warners in the early 1980s and qualified as a solicitor in 1984. Following a period with a London firm, he returned to Warners in 1988 and became a partner shortly afterwards. Since 2003, Mark has worked in Warners’ Sevenoaks office, and he is the lead partner for the work that Warners undertakes for the Howard De Walden Estate.
Throughout his career, Mark has specialised in property work, latterly principally commercial property, including landlord & tenant and advising developers and individuals selling to developers. He also advises groups of neighbours who have collectively acquired adjoining farmland or amenity land.
Away from the office, Mark spent many years as a Governor of Tonbridge Grammar School and still has a role with the school. For 17 years, he served as a Councillor on Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council, representing a ward in Tonbridge and was made an Honorary Alderman of the Borough of Tonbridge & Malling in 2024. He remains a trustee of Tonbridge & Malling Leisure Trust and is a member of the Upper Medway Internal Drainage Board. Recently, he has been appointed as a Trustee of the Tonbridge Town Lands and Richard Myllss charity (the Tonbridge Town Wardens), which dates back to 1575.
A member of MCC since 1995, Mark finds his way to Lord’s when he can. He is also Vice President of Tonbridge Juddians Rugby Club and is proud of the sponsorship that Warners gives both to that club and to Sevenoaks Rugby. Mark is a keen bird watcher, walker, and also has an interest in family history.
